Montage with Dot Pattern was inspired by visiting an exhibit of Andy Warhol works and my own love of patterns. I worked with multiple images in a more graphic arrangements than in the past, then created the repeat dot pattern to pull them together visually.

Fallen Angel Variation was inspired by glancing at my yoga instructor, Victoria, during practice. For several weeks I’d been sketching, searching for an inspirational pose for my next painting. I found myself in a slightly wobbly, twisted position gazing under my arm at Victoria who looked graceful and serene in this pose. The beach is the backdrop for this painting because for me, it is a place of serenity. I often take long walks along Juno and Jupiter Beaches when I need time to reflect and be in nature.

The Eclipse Natarajasana Scroll is a Yoga Expression and was inspired by the 2017 eclipse sun. The total eclipse in August was awe inspiring. My personal yoga practice helps me feel more connected to the natural world. The creation of a work of art that combined the Natarajasana pose with an image of the eclipse came almost instinctively.
