This past weekend I tried my hand at traditional Japanese shibouri dying with indigo, by taking a workshop at the @morikamimuseum and Japanese Gardens with Suzanne Connors @ayafiberstudio. I absolutely love this medium and can't wait to learn and explore more. Creating patterns in fiber dyeing is the perfect compliment to my graphic design and fine art work.

In an effort to eliminate paper waste this holiday

In an effort to eliminate paper waste this holiday season, I've hand dyed tea towels in which to wrap gifts. Now, if I could just remember my lessons in traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth wrapping, I'll be all set. 😀I loved experimenting with different dye colors and folding methods. I made 20 of them and will show five per day this week.
